About

Ecclesia and Ethics IV: Theological Interpretation for Moral Formation is a global biblical studies and theology conference based at Trinity College Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. The conference will begin on the evening of Thursday August 1st from 7-9pm with a keynote paper from Ben Witherington III. It will continue on Friday August 2nd from 9am-5pm (*Wednesday July 31st and Thursday August 1st in the United States) with papers from an assortment of scholars including papers from: Glenn Packiam (Lead Pastor of New Life Downtown, Colorado), Rachel Davies (Australian Catholic University), Mark W. Elliott (Glascow University and Wycliffe College, Toronto), Carlos Sosa Siliezar (Wheaton College), and Arthur Sutherland (Loyola University). For a list of participants and papers, check out our schedule here.

The conference is a hybrid conference, though many papers will be delivered from the Brisbane location at Trinity College Queensland. Presenters and attendees will be able to participate by delivering papers, observing papers, and taking part in Q+A through webinar software from anywhere in the world, live, in real-time. All that is required of participants and attendees is a reliable internet connection and a mic/webcam, available stock on most laptops, phones, and tablets.

You can register here to attend the conference on-site in Brisbane. Or, if you will be participating online via webinar you can register here (online admission is free!). We do anticipate the event to sell to the capacity of the room in Brisbane, so make sure to register in advance!

The conference is sponsored by Trinity College Queensland, Logos Bible Software, and by a generous grant from the Australian Research Theology Foundation Inc.
